About Us

Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

— James 1:27

Welcome to Itsara, where we keep our friends, families, and supporters updated on what God is doing in and through our lives. The three of us have moved from San Diego, California to Chiang Mai, Thailand to care for orphans and follow God’s call for our lives wherever He leads us.

What We’re Doing
Our vision is to care for orphans as God leads them to us and us to them. Originally that meant starting an orphanage. In our time here, our vision has changed. Our heart is to not only give children a house and food and education, but to raise them in love. We want to give parents to those children who have lost theirs. We want to be those parents.

How You Can Help
We don’t update this blog much anymore, but you can keep in touch with us through our newsletter or you can talk to us directly. That way, you can know what’s going on and how to pray. Your prayers are the easiest and most effective way to help us out here.

If you would like to support us financially, take a look at our support information.

Who We Are
Adam and Cindy Heine began attending Coast Vineyard Christian Fellowship in 1999. Sean Abbott began attending Coast shortly after and became good friends, and eventually roommates, with Adam and Cindy. In 2004, God called the three of us to move to Thailand with a heart for children in need. In 2006, Sean married Prang, and they later decided to take in children as well.
